Raising Muslim Boys: Creating a Helping Tradition at Home
I can’t tell you how many young Muslim boys I’ve seen while teaching that have no idea how to take care of themselves. They can’t cook any food, do laundry or clean up after themselves.
I am so blessed that Naena didn’t raise her boys that way. Khaled is fully capable and willing to do what needs to be done in our home to keep our family running, and he is teaching that work ethic to Mr. Fox as well as Kate and Pea.

I wish my husband was like that. He doesn’t help with food, chores or anything relating to that unless absolutly necessary. But he does take care of everything else. Like finances, car troubles, bills etc. Which is why I don’t make a big deal about him not helping me. But I do work full time which makes it frustrating sometimes because I’m just not in the mood to do anything some days and stuff needs to be done.
